Escape Velocity is seeking a Principal Combat Designer to lead the creation and refinement of combat mechanics for our online multiplayer game. You will shape how characters, weapons and abilities feel in play and drive balance for a fun, challenging experience.

Join a fully remote studio that values autonomy and practical design. You will collaborate with Design Director and leads, partnering with art and engineering to keep everyone aligned and focused on delivering engaging gameplay.

Formación

• Collaborate with Design Director and leads to drive combat design for online multiplayer.
• Design expert-level player combat mechanics, weapons and abilities.
• Communicate with art and engineering to align goals before development.
• Advocate for player experience in design decisions.
• Experience on at least two shipped AAA titles with mechanics design.

Responsabilidades

• Create and refine combat mechanics across diverse characters to balance fun and challenge.
• Collaborate cross-disciplines to ensure alignment before feature development.
• Translate player feedback into gameplay improvements.
