Job summary

ALK Madrid is seeking a Laboratory Technician (Microbiology) to join our team in Madrid, Spain. This permanent, full-time role operates a fixed afternoon shift (3:00 pm – 11:00 pm) and reports to the Microbiology Manager.

The ideal candidate will support analysts, review data, handle investigations and CAPAs, and contribute to GMP/GxP compliance. Proficiency with LIMS and SAP, plus a biology/pharmacy background, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in sciences (Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, etc.) or FP II / Senior Technician in Laboratory Analysis and Quality Control or similar.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Passion for microbiology and quality.
• Bachelor’s degree in sciences (Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, etc.) or FP II / Senior Technician in Laboratory Analysis and Quality Control or similar.
• At least 1 year of experience in pharmaceutical laboratory quality control (especially in microbiology or GxP areas).
• Good knowledge of GMP regulations, standards and data integrity.
• Experience with environmental and personnel microbiological monitoring in classified rooms.
• Expertise in microbiological testing: sterility, endotoxins, microbial counts, etc.
• Experience with validation of microbiological methods.
• Knowledge of testing utilities: water, steam and compressed gases.
• Proficiency in microbiological data trend analysis.
• Fluency in English, including effective written and oral communication.
