Job summary

Werfen is seeking an IT Ops Functional Specialist to implement and maintain Laboratory IT solutions, including the Laboratory Computer System and BI analytics. You will tailor configurations to lab workflows, ensure interoperability with HIS and equipment, and provide ongoing functional maintenance to guarantee high service levels.

You will report to the IT Ops Area Manager and may take on Project Manager responsibilities within implementations or as reference for installations at client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or similar field.
• Clinical specialization in Laboratory Medicine or related field.
• Mid- or high-level lab technician training.
• Experience in IT projects within clinical laboratories or hospital settings.
• Experience in IT project management.
• Experience managing laboratory structures and global processes.
• PM Certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of interoperability platforms and BI tools (Qlik Sense).
• Fluent English; Spanish and/or Portuguese desired.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain IT solutions for Clinical Laboratories and Laboratory IT systems.
• Configure systems to match laboratory workflows and ensure interoperability with HIS and equipment.
• Provide remote and on-site support during integration and deployment.
• Coordinate tasks and actions within project plans and monitor progress.
• Identify risks and communicate them to the customer to avoid deviations.
• Interact with customers at various project management levels to resolve issues.
• Ensure technical documentation is up-to-date and available to the team.
