Mistral is seeking a senior engineering lead to own and scale the Kubernetes product end to end. You will manage the team, make hard architectural decisions, and ensure reliable operation of the control plane while delivering a scalable, on-demand cluster platform.

You will work closely with Product, Design and Business teams to set priorities and drive delivery, balancing hands-on coding with leadership duties. This role requires a developer-at-heart mindset and strong collaboration skills.

Formación

• 2+ years of real people leadership.
• Shipped production systems in Go.
• You have run Kubernetes in anger — and ideally built parts of it.
• Experience with GPUs on Kubernetes is a plus.
• Extensive experience building backend or infrastructure systems.
• Partnered with product, design, and business teams to ship software.
• Low-ego, team-first mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Design and own the Kubernetes control plane, including architecture decisions and scheduling logic.
• Grow engineers and coach them to reach their best.
• Own reliability of the Kubernetes control plane and respond to incidents.
• Shrink the distance from metal to on-demand via automation.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to align priorities and tradeoffs.
• Lead people management: hiring, growth paths, feedback.
• Define team processes and execution rituals as the team scales.
