Job summary

Auxo Talent is seeking a Technical Lead to spearhead platform and infrastructure operations for a large on-premises environment and Kubernetes platform.

The role combines hands-on engineering with team leadership, managing CI/CD, automation, and incident response across a remote multi-country setup.

Qualifications

• Provisioning and lifecycle management of bare-metal at scale (MAAS/Foreman or equivalent).
• Kubernetes administration across multiple clusters, upgrades and CSI/storage.
• Deep Linux administration (RHEL/Ubuntu), kernel and driver troubleshooting.
• Strong TCP/IP, DNS, routing, load balancing and VLAN knowledge.
• Container image lifecycle with Harbor or JFrog Artifactory.
• Ownership of automation, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience leading technical teams, runbooks, on-call coverage, major incidents.
• Proficiency in Python, Ansible, ArgoCD, Terraform or Pulumi.
• Experience with petabyte-scale storage and CSI integration.
• NVIDIA / GPU/HPC tools and related infrastructure knowledge.
• Industry certifications or ITIL 4 are a plus.

Technical Lead Platform & Infrastructure Operations - contract

Location: Remote across Poland, Romania and Hungary

Duration: 6 months initially

My client is looking for a Technical Lead to lead operations for a newly built, large-scale on-premises infrastructure and Kubernetes platform. This hands-on leadership role covers bare-metal compute, containers, networking and storage, alongside engineering team management and major incident response.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own technical standards, platform documentation and operational runbooks.
• Lead automation, CI/CD and GitOps pipelines using Git-backed configuration, Ansible and ArgoCD.
• Manage and develop engineers, owning the on-call rota and escalation process.

• Container image lifecycle management using registries such as Harbor or JFrog Artifactory.
• Production ownership of automation, infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience managing technical teams, production runbooks, on-call coverage and major incidents.
• Python, Ansible, ArgoCD, Terraform or Pulumi.
• Petabyte-scale storage, such as VAST Data, and Kubernetes CSI integration.
• GPU/HPC infrastructure, RDMA, InfiniBand or Run.
• NVIDIA platform tooling, model-serving or inference operations.
• Dragonfly image distribution, liquid cooling or CDU awareness.
• RHCE, CKA, cloud certifications or ITIL 4 Create, Deliver and Support.
