Job summary

Mistral is building a sovereign AI cloud for Europe. We are seeking a founding engineering leader to turn arriving hardware into accepted clusters, automate validation, and drive time-to-acceptance from weeks to days.

You will hire and coach the first engineers, set growth paths, and establish playbooks for a growing team across Europe. You will collaborate with Product Managers to plan delivery waves, balance hands-on coding with people leadership, and shape the future of Mistral's datacenters

Qualifications

• Must have automated bare-metal fleets and scripting to turn racks into clusters.
• Strong hardware fluency across servers, GPUs, NICs, switches, and firmware.
• Deep Linux expertise and production Go experience required.

Responsibilities

• Build delivery pipeline in Go: provisioning, configuration, validation, burn-in, network bring-up, software stack install.
• Hire, coach, and grow the first engineers; define growth paths and tooling standards.
• Own time-to-acceptance and relentlessly drive down the cycle from weeks to hours.
• Collaborate with Hardware Design and Fleet Health to ensure reliability at delivery.
• Lead GPU fleets at scale and coordinate with product managers on delivery waves.
