Job summary

Mistral is building a sovereign AI cloud for Europe and is seeking a founding leader to turn arriving hardware into trusted clusters. You will lead the datacenter software and automation efforts, defining the stack, guiding the team, and shaping the charter for future sites.

The role combines hands-on coding and architectural work with people leadership as the team grows, balancing software quality with scalable datacenter operations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building backend or infrastructure systems.
• 2+ years in people leadership, hiring and coaching engineers.
• Deep Linux knowledge and hardware fluency.
• Shipped production systems in Go.

Responsibilities

• Build delivery pipeline in Go: provisioning, config, validation, burn-in, network bring-up, software stack install.
• Own time-to-acceptance and drive it down relentlessly.
• Collaborate with Hardware Design and Fleet Health to improve reliability.
• Handle GPU fleets at scale (H100/GB200, InfiniBand, RoCE).
• Partner with Product Managers to plan delivery waves against capacity.
