InterContinental Barcelona is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for Quirat, our Michelin-starred restaurant, to support the kitchen team with prep, mise en place, organization, and daily operations. You’ll help ensure a clean, well‑run kitchen and learn in a high‑end culinary environment.

We value passion for gastronomy, teamwork, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude. EU passport or valid work permit in Spain is required for this role.

Formación

• Culinary studies or professional training in Gastronomy or Culinary Arts.
• Strong teamwork and be proactive in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a luxury dining environment.

Responsabilidades

• Support kitchen with basic prep and mise en place.
• Assist with organization of ingredients for service.
• Keep workstations and areas clean and orderly.
• Support during service as directed by Chef and supervisors.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.

What’s the Job?

As a Kitchen Assistant at Quirat, our Michelin-starred gastronomic restaurant, you’ll support the kitchen team with preparation, mise en place, organization, and day-to-day operations. You’ll help ensure the kitchen is clean, well-organized, and ready for service, while learning and developing your skills in a high-end culinary environment.

• Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation and mise en place.
• Assist with the preparation and organization of ingredients for service.
• Keep workstations, refrigerators, and kitchen areas clean and organized.
• Support the team during service as required, following instructions from the Chef and supervisors.
• Receive, store, and organize products according to food safety standards.
• Help control food usage and minimize waste.
• Assist with dishware, kitchen equipment, and general kitchen organization.
• Follow food hygiene, safety, and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and support other departments when needed.
• Be ready to learn, grow, and contribute to a team committed to culinary excellence.

What We Need From You

• Passion for gastronomy and an interest in developing a career in professional kitchens.
• Culinary studies or professional training in Gastronomy, Culinary Arts, or a similar field.
• Good organization, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, proactive, and reliable attitude.
• EU passport or valid work permit to work in Spain.
