Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Barcelona is seeking a Project Manager to lead international projects from acquisition to delivery. You will coordinate cross-border teams across regions, manage scope, schedule and budget, and ensure top-level quality and compliance.

This role requires frequent travel and fluency in English and Spanish. Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree and 2–3 years in railway signaling, with strong MS Project skills and knowledge of ERTMS, interlocking, and CTC systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Natural Sciences or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience in railway signaling projects or engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of signaling interlocking, ERTMS, CTC and communications.
• Experience with MS Project and familiarity with railway safety regs (CENELEC 50126/50128/50129).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish with willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Direct project phases from team organization to financial control and reporting.
• Participate in acquisition, contract negotiations, and contract management including claims.
• Identify and mitigate risks while pursuing new opportunities.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders with clear, proactive communication.
• Ensure quality and compliance across all processes and deliverables.

Your mission in our team

As a Project Manager within our International Project Execution team

you will be the driving force behind key projects on an international level. Your leadership will be fundamental in ensuring the success of our mobility solutions, from the acquisition phase to final delivery, connecting multicultural teams and overcoming the challenges of modern transportation in diverse regions.

• Leading comprehensive execution: You will direct all project phases, from team organization and management to financial control and reporting.
• Negotiation and contract management: You will actively participate in acquisition, order negotiation, and contract management, including claim resolution.
• Risk and opportunity management: You will proactively identify and mitigate risks, while seeking new business opportunities to maximize project value.
• Building strong relationships: You will effectively manage the expectations of internal and external stakeholders, fostering fluid and collaborative communication.
• Quality assurance and compliance: You will ensure that all processes and deliverables meet the highest quality standards and applicable regulations.

What Will Make Your Application Stand Out

Solid technical background: You hold a degree in Engineering, Natural Sciences, or equivalent.

Initial project management experience: You bring at least 2-3 years of experience in railway signaling projects or engineering

Deep industry knowledge: You possess advanced technical knowledge in signaling interlocking, ERTMS, Centralized Traffic Control systems, and Communications, for both mainline and mass transit systems.

Mastery of tools and regulations: You have demonstrable experience with Microsoft Project/Microsoft Project Online and are familiar with railway safety regulations (CENELEC 50126, 50128, and 50129).

Global vision and communication skills: You have experience working on multinational and multicultural projects, interacting with clients and partners globally. You are bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written) and are available for frequent travel.
