Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Hardware Development Engineer to design the electronic foundation for next‑generation railway solutions. Your work will directly contribute to safety, reliability, and efficiency of our products in an international, multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent with electronics focus.
• Fluent English in speaking and writing to thrive in an international environment.
• Proven experience in analogue electronics design, ideally in railway, avionics, defense, or automotive sectors.
• Strong analytical, self-motivated, and creative approach to complex problem solving.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design robust analogue electronic circuits, including power electronics, signal amplification, filtering, and isolation.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of communication and control boards for railway field elements.
• Conduct rigorous laboratory testing to verify function and non-functional requirements (EMC, climate, etc.).
• Participate through the hardware development lifecycle from requirements to testing.
• Drive innovation by researching and applying new technologies to products.

As a Hardware Development Engineer, you will be a key player in our international and multidisciplinary development team, designing the electronic foundation for our next‑generation railway solutions. Your work will directly contribute to the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our products.

• Design robust analogue electronic circuits, including power electronics, signal amplification, filtering, and isolation.

• Conduct rigorous laboratory testing to verify designs functionally and non‑functionally (EMC, climatic, etc.).
• Participate actively throughout the entire hardware development lifecycle, from requirements specification to testing.
• Drive innovation by researching and applying new technologies to our products.

• Proven experience in analogue electronics design, ideally within the railway, avionics, defense, or automotive industries.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Experience in digital electronics design, particularly with microprocessors and FPGAs.
• Hands‑on experience with laboratory tasks, common electronic equipment, and debugging tools.
• Familiarity with manufacturing documentation processes.
• Knowledge of electronic board design and simulation tools like PSPICE, MATLAB, or Simulink.
