Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Spain is seeking a Junior Cost Manager to join our Cost Management team. You will support Senior Cost Managers on a wide range of projects, assisting with cost plans, tendering and procurement tasks.

The role requires a university degree in construction-related field, good English and Spanish, and strong Excel and MS Office skills. This is an on-site position in Madrid with a collaborative, inclusive culture and opportunities on high-profile projects.

Qualifications

• University degree in construction related engineering, architecture or a relevant field.
• Previous experience in cost management is preferred.
• Good interpersonal & communication skills.
• Excel & MS Office proficiency.
• Clear motivation for the construction industry.
• Business level English and Spanish language skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Commission Manager on a range of tasks, including background research, data collection and benchmarking.
• Estimating and producing cost plans.
• Drafting the procurement documentation and tender lists.
• Checking and analysing tenders and drafting tender reports.
• Dealing with variations and change control processes.
• Conducting cost checks and valuations.
• Drafting monthly reports and analysing numbers for final accounts.
• Liaising with clients, contractors and designers.
• Inputting key information into the Turner & Townsend internal database.
