Allen Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Java Engineer to maintain and evolve a mission-critical platform running on Java 7/8 in Madrid. This is a production-focused role emphasizing stability, performance, and careful refactoring in a real-world environment.

The position is permanent and hybrid (50% in the office). You’ll collaborate with a Madrid-based engineering team and advocate clean code, pragmatic testing, and reliable delivery while navigating legacy constraints.

We’re hiring a hands-on Java Engineer to work on a mission-critical, real-world platform running on Java 7 / Java 8. This is not greenfield hype. It’s production engineering: stability, performance, clean refactoring, and careful delivery.
