Talent Connect is seeking a Java Developer to join their multicultural engineering team focused on building a greenfield digital platform. You will design and develop APIs and microservices, working closely with distributed teams in an agile environment.

This role requires over 5 years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on Java and Spring Boot. The position offers a hybrid work model in Madrid, Barcelona, Málaga, or Logroño, with remote options available for other locations in Spain.

Spain | Hybrid in Madrid, Barcelona, Málaga or Logroño; Remote in the rest of the country.

Full-time. Salary up to €42k gross/year.

About The Role

We are looking for a Java Developer to join a multicultural engineering team working on a greenfield digital platform project. You will help design, build, and evolve APIs and microservices from inception through production, contributing to modern backend architectures and cloud‑native development practices.

This role is ideal for developers who enjoy building systems from scratch, collaborating in international environments, and working with modern Java ecosystems.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop APIs and backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot
• Contribute to a greenfield platform from early stages through production deployment
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams in an agile environment
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows
• Contribute to API definition and documentation standards
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and solution design
• Help improve engineering practices and delivery quality

What we’re looking for

• +5 years of professional experience in backend development
• Strong hands‑on experience with:
  • Java 17 / 21
  • Spring Boot 3.x / 4.x
• Advanced knowledge of:
  • Git
  • REST APIs
  • OpenAPI
• Experience working with:
  • Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions
  • CI/CD practices
• Developer‑level understanding of AI prompting concepts
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in multicultural teams
• Curiosity, ownership mindset, and proactive problem‑solving attitude
• English level C1 or higher – mandatory

Nice to have

• AWS experience
• Experience with AI Agent coding or AI‑assisted development tools
• Experience building greenfield products or platforms
