SIX Group Services Ltd. in Madrid is seeking a Java Backend Engineer to join an agile, self-organized team. You will design, develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for a greenfield platform using modern Java technologies, taking ownership from design through delivery.

You will collaborate with product owners and engineers, work with OpenShift, CI/CD, and messaging systems, and contribute to architecture decisions while upholding testing and documentation standards.

Formación

• 3-5 years of enterprise Java experience.
• Proven ability to design and build RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Spring ecosystem and microservices.
• Familiarity with OpenShift and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

We're looking for a Java Backend Engineer to join our agile and self-organized engineering team, building innovative solutions for our Repo customers. You'll be part of an exciting greenfield initiative, working with modern technologies, collaborating across multiple teams, and taking ownership of features from design through delivery. What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for a greenfield platform using modern Java technologies.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business needs.
• Integrate and coordinate with external systems and teams, working with MQ, Elasticsearch, relational databases, APIs, and OpenShift.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure software quality through automated testing, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and architecture artifacts to support knowledge sharing and maintainability.

What You Bring

• 3-5 years of experience developing enterprise applications with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and the Spring ecosystem with experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and integrating with external systems and services.
• Hands-on experience with messaging technologies (MQ and/or Kafka), relational databases, Redis, and Liquibase.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, Docker, OpenShift, CI/CD pipelines, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Solid testing mindset with experience using JUnit and a commitment to writing reliable, maintainable code.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Good level and fluency in both verbal and written English.
