Qaracter busca un Desarrollador Backend Java para unirse a un equipo tecnológico que trabaja en proyectos bancarios y fintech. Serás responsable de desarrollar y mantener aplicaciones backend y microservicios, colaborando estrechamente con equipos técnicos y funcionales a lo largo del ciclo de vida del software.

Se valorará experiencia en Java, Spring Boot, Kafka y bases de datos Oracle/PostgreSQL/Redis, así como práctica con CI/CD, WebSphere y OpenShift.

Formación

• Experiencia profesional de 3+ años en desarrollo de software con las tecnologías y herramientas requeridas.
• Dominio de Java 8/11 y Core de Java.
• Experiencia práctica con Spring Boot, Spring Batch y Spring Cloud Stream.
• Desarrollo de microservicios y aplicaciones backend empresariales.
• Diseño y consumo de APIs REST, SOAP y OpenAPI.
• Conocimientos de patrones de diseño y principios de ingeniería de software.
• Experiencia con Kafka y arquitectura orientada a eventos.
• Bases de datos Oracle, PostgreSQL y Redis.
• Entornos CI/CD con Git, GitHub, Jenkins y SonarQube.
• Conocimientos de servidores de aplicaciones y contenedores (WebSphere/OpenShift).
• Capacidad de trabajo en equipos internacionales y multidisciplinarios.
• Habilidades analíticas, de resolución de problemas, trabajo en equipo y comunicación.
• Nivel de inglés B2/C1 o superior.

Responsabilidades

• Diseñar, desarrollar, probar y mantener aplicaciones backend Java y microservicios.
• Construir soluciones escalables con Java y tecnologías Spring.
• Trabajar con Spring Boot, Spring Batch y Spring Cloud Stream en apps empresariales.
• Diseñar e implementar APIs REST y SOAP siguiendo buenas prácticas.
• Desarrollar soluciones orientadas a eventos con Kafka y contribuir a EDA.
• Trabajar con bases de datos Oracle, PostgreSQL y Redis.
• Desarrollar y ejecutar pruebas unitarias e de integración (JUnit/Mockito) y apoyar pruebas con Postman.
• Participar en todo el ciclo de vida del desarrollo desde análisis hasta producción.
• Colaborar con developers, architects y stakeholders para entregar soluciones de alta calidad.
• Trabajar con CI/CD y herramientas como Git, GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube; desplegar en WebSphere/OpenShift.
• Contribuir a mejoras técnicas, calidad de código y rendimiento.

Are you a Java Backend Developer with strong experience in microservices, Spring Boot, Kafka, and enterprise applications? Do you enjoy working with modern technologies, designing scalable solutions, and contributing to complex financial technology projects?

At Qaracter, we're looking for a Java Backend Developer to join a technology team working on banking and financial projects. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend applications and microservices, working closely with technical and functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java backend applications and microservices.
• Build scalable and robust solutions using Java and Spring technologies.
• Work with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Cloud Stream to develop enterprise applications.
• Design and implement REST and SOAP APIs following best practices and software design patterns.
• Develop event-driven solutions using Kafka and contribute to Event-Driven Architecture initiatives.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito, as well as support API testing with Postman.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from technical analysis and development through testing, deployment, and production support.
• Collaborate with other developers, architects, functional analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Work with CI/CD tools and practices, including Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and SonarQube.
• Deploy and support applications in enterprise environments using WebSphere and OpenShift.
• Contribute to technical improvements, code quality, performance optimization, and continuous modernization of applications.
• Stay up to date with new technologies, frameworks, programming languages, and software engineering best practices.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development using the required technologies and tools.
• Strong experience with Java 8 and 11, with a deep understanding of Java Core.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Cloud Stream.
• Solid experience developing microservices and enterprise backend applications.
• Experience designing and consuming APIs, including REST, SOAP, and OpenAPI.
• Good understanding of software design patterns and software engineering principles.
• Experience with Kafka and Event-Driven Architecture.
• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Redis databases.
• Experience with testing frameworks and tools such as JUnit, Mockito, and Postman.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and SonarQube within CI/CD environments.
• Experience with application servers and containers, particularly WebSphere and OpenShift.
• Ability to work effectively in international and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
• English level B2/C1 or higher.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Python.
• Experience with Control-M.
• Knowledge of public cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Experience with reactive programming.
• Fluent Spanish (native or B2/C1).
• Previous experience in banking or financial services.
• Knowledge of financial products, particularly Supply Chain Finance and Confirming.
• Experience working with Confirming core systems.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and modern software development practices.
