You will partner with Finance, HR, external providers and the US Payroll Manager to deliver compliant, timely payroll and an excellent employee experience, driving transformation and governance across multiple jurisdictions.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in international payroll management.
• Proven experience managing payroll across multiple countries, ideally Europe and Asia.
• Strong experience with outsourced payroll providers and global delivery models.
• Vendor management experience including supplier selection and contract negotiations.
• Experience leading payroll process improvements, transformations, or system implementations.
• Solid understanding of payroll controls, compliance, governance and payroll accounting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provide escalation support for complex payroll issues and ensure high-quality employee experience.
• Maintain compliance with local payroll, tax and employment regulations across Europe and Asia.

A fast-growing global technology organisation operating in a highly dynamic and evolving market are looking for an International Payroll Manager to join their team in Madrid.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive International Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations across more than 10 legal entities throughout Europe and Asia. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of payroll services while providing an exceptional employee experience. The International Payroll Manager will work closely with Finance, Human Resources, external payroll providers, and the US Payroll Manager to establish and maintain a best-in-class global payroll function. The role will be responsible for payroll governance, compliance, vendor management, process optimization, employee support, and driving payroll transformation initiatives across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll operations across 10+ legal entities throughout Europe and Asia, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant payroll delivery.
• Oversee payroll inputs, validations, approvals, reconciliations, reporting and month-end/year-end activities, maintaining robust controls and audit readiness.
• Partner with the US Payroll Manager and global payroll stakeholders to develop consistent processes, governance, controls and reporting standards.
• Lead external payroll provider relationships, including vendor selection, RFPs, implementation, SLA/KPI management, service reviews and performance improvement.
• Drive payroll transformation and continuous improvement by standardizing, automating and documenting processes across multiple countries.
• Partner with HR, Finance, HRIS and Technology teams on payroll systems, integrations, new entity setups, acquisitions, workforce changes and other global initiatives.
• Provide escalation support for complex payroll issues, ensuring accurate resolution of employee queries and a high-quality employee payroll experience.
• Maintain compliance with local payroll, tax and employment regulations across Europe and Asia, managing statutory requirements, audits, risks, policies and controls.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in international payroll management.
• Proven experience managing payroll across multiple countries, ideally across Europe and Asia.
• Strong experience working with outsourced payroll providers and global payroll delivery models.
• Demonstrated success in vendor management, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and performance management.
• Experience leading payroll process improvement, transformation, or system implementation projects.
• Solid understanding of payroll controls, compliance, governance, and payroll accounting principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with payroll reporting.
