Job summary

LittleBig Connection is seeking an Integration Engineer – Platform to own the integration layer between ontology, systems of record, and operational tools. You will collaborate with architecture, data engineering, DevOps, and product teams to translate actions into reliable, scalable workflows.

Candidates should have 4–7 years of experience in integration or platform engineering, strong API/workflow expertise, and fluency in English (French a plus).

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in integration engineering, platform engineering, backend development, or workflow automation.
• Strong expertise in API integration, workflow orchestration, idempotency, retry strategies, monitoring and incident management.
• Proficiency with n8n or similar workflow tools, REST APIs, webhooks, polling, schema validation, and versioned contracts.
• Knowledge of systems of record such as Odoo or similar platforms is a plus.
• English fluent; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain adapters per source system with versioned contracts.
• Build and operate the anti-corruption layer to isolate tool-specific changes.
• Implement a workflow per declared action with validation via schemas.
• Ensure reliability with idempotency, retries, backoff, compensation, and dead-letter queues.
• Manage state feedback via webhooks or polling and ensure read-your-own-write consistency.
• Maintain read-by-identifier capabilities through adapters.
• Operate flows between source systems and reverse ETL processes into tools.
• Monitor, alert, replay, and manage incidents across the integration layer with versioning and deprecation support.

LittleBig Connection is looking for an Integration Engineer – Platform to join its platform and technology scope. In this role, you will own the integration layer between the ontology, systems of record, and operational tools. Working closely with architecture, data engineering, DevOps, and product teams, you will ensure that every declared action is translated into reliable, monitored, and scalable workflows.

Your LittleBig Responsibilities

• Design and maintain one adapter per source system, versioned with the contract and including action translation, field mapping, and system-specific constraints.
• Build and operate the anti-corruption layer, ensuring that tool-specific field names, renames, and changes remain isolated from the platform layer.
• Implement one workflow per declared action, named after the action and validated through generated schemas.
• Ensure integration reliability through idempotency keys, retries, backoff strategies, compensation mechanisms, and dead-letter queues.
• Manage state feedback through webhooks or polling, returning objects as confirmed by the source system.
• Maintain read-by-identifier capabilities through adapters to ensure read-your-own-write consistency.
• Operate flows between source systems and reverse ETL processes back into operational tools.
• Monitor, alert, replay, and manage incidents across the integration layer while supporting versioning and deprecation of the integration surface.

Your Profile

• 4 to 7 years of experience in integration engineering, platform engineering, backend development, or workflow automation within a SaaS, marketplace, or complex systems environment.
• Expertise in API integration, workflow orchestration, idempotency, retry strategies, monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
• Proficiency with n8n or similar workflow automation tools, as well as REST APIs, webhooks, polling mechanisms, schema validation, and versioned contracts.
• Knowledge of systems of record such as Odoo or similar operational platforms is a plus.
• Academic background in computer science, software development, information systems, or a related technical field is preferred.
• English fluent. French is a plus.
• Strong ability to collaborate with architecture, data engineering, DevOps, and product teams while maintaining clear ownership of the integration layer.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to design scalable solutions that avoid duplication and support long-term maintainability.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to challenge contracts or implementation choices when reliability, scalability, or system representation is at risk.
