About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Integration Architect / Integration Lead to act as the primary operational bridge between non-technical business stakeholders, application owners, and technical delivery teams. In this role, you will take end-to-end technical ownership of integration initiatives: clarifying business requirements, designing practical integration patterns (primarily in Microsoft Azure and enterprise systems like SAP), performing functional and API testing, and resolving production incidents.
Please note: This is not a hands-off, theoretical architecture role, nor is it a pure daily coding position. No direct team management is required. We are looking for an experienced professional with a solid technical background who enjoys hands-on solution design, technical validation, and cross-functional alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requests and translate them into robust, secure, and maintainable end-to-end integration designs across Azure, SAP, and in-house applications.
- Define interface specifications, data contracts (JSON/XML), data mappings, error handling procedures, and integration patterns (REST APIs, asynchronous messaging, queues, topics).
- Perform technical and functional endpoint testing using tools such as Bruno, Postman, or similar suites prior to production go-live.
- Coordinate implementation activities with internal development squads and external partners without requiring formal hierarchical authority.
- Investigate and troubleshoot distributed integration failures and production incidents across system boundaries.
- Act as the trusted technical advisor for non-technical business teams, explaining integration concepts clearly and challenging unnecessary technical complexity constructively.
Key Requirements (Must-Have):
- Senior Professional Background: ~8 to 10+ years of relevant experience in enterprise IT, systems integration, middleware, or cloud solution consulting.
- Azure Integration Stack (~60% focus): Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure integration services, specifically Azure Logic Apps, Azure API Management (APIM), and Azure Service Bus.
- Enterprise Integration Patterns: Deep understanding of REST APIs, data contracts, JSON/XML, synchronous vs. asynchronous integration, messaging queues, topics, and publish/subscribe mechanisms.
- Hands-on API Testing & Data Mapping: Practical experience with API testing tools (Bruno, Postman, or equivalent), data transformations, field mappings, and error-handling strategies.
- ERP Awareness (~40% focus): Practical familiarity with enterprise ERP landscapes, particularly SAP (e.g., S/4HANA or ECC), understanding how transactional business data moves across core modules.
- Structured Troubleshooting: Demonstrated ability to trace distributed transactions, inspect logs, and isolate root causes across multi-system landscapes.
- Communication & Languages: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Fluent professional English is required.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with enterprise applications such as IFS Cloud, FSM, or CRM platforms.
- Exposure to B2B/EDI protocols and standards (EDIFACT, AS2, X12).
- Familiarity with complementary Azure services (Azure Functions, Event Hubs, Azure Data Factory, Entra ID).
- Basic knowledge of scripting, querying, or automation (C#/.NET, Python, SQL, Terraform, or Azure Bicep).
- Working knowledge of Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD concepts.
- German language skills.
- Microsoft Azure Certifications (e.g., AZ-305, AZ-204, or legacy credentials).
What We Offer:
- Prime Location: Modern and spacious offices located in Gran Vía, in central Madrid.
- Work-Life Balance: Hybrid work model (Home Office) combined with flexible working schedules.
- International Environment: A collaborative, diverse team representing over 20 nationalities.
- High-Impact Projects: Key involvement in mission-critical logistics and warehouse automation solutions deployed across global supply chains.
