Job summary

The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) in Barcelona seeks a Scientific & Tech Project Manager for the Core Technologies Programme. You will coordinate with CRG Communications, manage milestones, and drive reporting to funders while supporting AI-enabled workflows and multiomics strategy.

You will work with the Strategy and Funding team to develop technology demonstrations, coordinate inter-unit activities, and promote CRG capabilities to external partners and institutions.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of project management experience in a research setting, with milestone tracking and reporting to funders or stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with core technologies (omics, single-cell, spatial) in a core facility or data-driven role.
• Experience coordinating work across multiple teams or stakeholders.
• Proficient in English; strong writing skills for proposals and reports.
• PhD in life sciences, bioengineering, physics, chemistry or related field.
• Advanced MS Office 365 skills; comfortable with SharePoint, Trello, Confluence, and AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between Core Technologies Programme and CRG Communications to define priorities and messages.
• Provide content on technologies for CRG Communications’ activities.
• Advise on branding and online presence for the Programme.
• Collect and monitor KPIs across Technology Units.
• Prepare reports for the Ministry, Generalitat and funders.
• Support reporting and milestones compliance for funded projects.
• Coordinate equipment heatmaps for strategic planning and investments.
• Organise meetings/workshops to align units, users, and partners.
• Identify new funding opportunities and collaboration opportunities.
• Prepare proposals supporting acquisition of new technologies and applications.
• Develop strategies for valorisation of technology developments.
• Serve as point of contact for external users and companies.
• Prepare presentations for institutional visits and leadership briefings.
• Collaborate with SaF team using shared AI-enabled workflows.
