Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) in Barcelona seeks a Scientific & Technology Project Manager for the Core Technologies programme. The role coordinates cross-unit projects, supports strategic planning for equipment and funding, and strengthens external collaborations with industry and users to advance multiomics, spatial omics and AI-enabled technologies.
Based in the Strategy and Funding (SaF) department, you will report to the Head of Core Technologies and collaborate closely with
The Institute
The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an international biomedical research institute of excellence, based in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 400 scientists from 44 countries. The CRG is composed by an interdisciplinary, motivated and creative scientific team which is supported both by a flexible and efficient administration and by high-end and innovative technologies.
We are seeking a Scientific & Technology Project Manager, fully dedicated to the Core Technologies Programme, who will be based in the Strategy and Funding (SaF) department at CRG. The position will support the implementation of the CRG Core Technologies strategy within the institute’s Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence programme, with a focus on integrated multiomics—including single-cell and spatial omics—and AI-enabled technologies. As part of SaF’s team of scientific project managers, the Project Manager will apply SaF’s expertise in project management and funding to projects associated with Core Technologies, rather than to individual research group projects, working exclusively with the Head of Core Technologies. The Project Manager will coordinate transversal technology projects across the Technology Units, monitor and report on the Programme’s performance, support strategic planning of equipment and future investments, identify funding and collaboration opportunities, and strengthen the Programme’s visibility and relationships with external users and industry.
They will work closely with the Technology Unit Heads, the SaF team and the CRG offices for technology transfer (TBDO), financial management and communication. The role sits at the interface between science, technology and institutional strategy.
