Job summary

Nestlé Nespresso Digital and Tech Team is seeking a DevOps and QA Automation Expert in Esplugues de Llobregat, Barcelona. Hybrid, permanent contract; English business language.

You will guide Quality Engineering within the DevSecOps model, ensure automated validation and quality gates, and shape scalable pipeline capabilities across UI, API, and data layers. The role emphasizes automation-first, shift-left validation, and collaboration with DevOps, QE, and Product teams to improve release

Qualifications

• 7+ years across DevOps, Quality Engineering, software engineering, test automation, platform engineering or related technical disciplines.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline architecture and the integration of automated validation and quality controls into delivery pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of Git-based development workflows, branching strategies, pull-request controls, branch protection and code-review practices.
• Practical experience implementing QA and Testing practices in composable, microservices-based architectures.
• Experience implementing contract-testing practices across services and teams.
• Experience integrating UI, API, contract, integration, event and other automated validations into the software delivery lifecycle.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or a related discipline is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide Quality Engineering technical direction within the DevSecOps operating model.
• Support pipeline architecture decisions, Git workflows, branching strategies, PR controls and automation capabilities.
• Drive QA and Testing practices for composable and distributed architectures.
• Promote contract testing and validation approaches for microservices and API-led ecosystems.
• Contribute to reusable pipeline components, automation integrations and engineering assets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable automation-first and shift-left validation.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or a related discipline
