Job summary

Nestlé Nespresso Digital and Tech Team is seeking a DevOps and QA Automation Expert to provide Quality Engineering direction within the DevSecOps framework. You will help shape CI/CD pipelines, testing practices, and scalable automation across UI, API, and data layers.

This strategic role emphasizes automation-first and shift-left validation, with collaboration across DevOps, QE governance, and product teams. Hybrid work from Barcelona area is supported.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps, QE, software engineering or related disciplines with technical direction experience.
• Strong CI/CD pipeline architecture experience with automated validation integration.
• Knowledge of Git-based development workflows, branching, PR controls and code review.
• Experience applying QA practices to microservices, API-led, event-driven or distributed architectures.
• Experience implementing or scaling contract-testing across services and teams.
• Experience integrating UI, API, contract and other validations into the SDLC.
• Experience designing quality gates, reusable pipeline components and automation integrations.
• Strong automation-first, shift-left and risk-based validation with product ownership.

Responsibilities

• Support integration of Quality Engineering requirements into CI/CD pipeline architectures.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Product Development on pipeline decisions for automated validation and quality gates.
• Provide QE expertise for Git workflows, branching strategies and PR controls.
• Drive adoption of contract testing for composable, microservices-based architectures.
• Contribute validation approaches for APIs, events, data flows and deployable services.
• Support development of reusable pipeline components and automation integrations.
• Enable teams to adopt automation-first, shift-left validation with reduced reliance on central support.
• Evaluate emerging DevSecOps, automation, observability and responsible AI-assisted engineering capabilities.
