Job summary

GMV is seeking an experienced cybersecurity systems engineer to design and defend security for satellite navigation ground segments and interfaces. You will work with engineering, networks, hardware, software, and operations teams to define secure architectures and review designs.

You will participate in risk management, hardening activities, and formal reviews with ESA and European partners, while steering the security roadmap and ensuring compliance with design principles.

Qualifications

• Experience in security architectures for complex IT systems.
• Experience in secure network design and cybersecurity practices.
• Experience in evaluating risk and security controls.
• Familiarity with virtualization architectures and related tooling.
• Ability to lead meetings in English with customers such as ESA.

Responsibilities

• Define the security architecture of ground segments and interfaces with stations and other entities.
• Prepare and review security documentation (designs, plans, technical notes).
• Collaborate with security and other technical teams to ensure alignment.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

• Defining the security architecture of the ground segments (control centres and interfaces with stations and other entities), actively collaborating with the other architects on the team (engineering, networks, hardware, software, key management, operations, etc.) and the security manager.
• Preparing and reviewing security documentation (designs, plans, technical notes, etc.)
• Working closely with the cybersecurity team to define the security model (e.g. selection of operating systems, hardening activities, deviations, etc.)
• Acting as a liaison between the cybersecurity team and other technical teams to ensure proper alignment
• Contributing to process definition, with a focus on establishing security by design
• Identifying potential risks and threats to the system
• Providing technical support to segment teams and customers
• Interacting with the customer (ESA) and subcontractors (within Europe), including attending reviews, executing/supervising formal test milestones, etc.
• Evolving the security strategy
