GMV Spain is expanding its teams in the space sector in Madrid. You will design and implement software validation facilities, provide technical support for software implementation, and help select microprocessor tools and platforms for embedded flight software projects.

The role covers embedded flight hardware/software, simulation environments, algorithms, and telemetry systems, with a focus on C or C++ and RTOS knowledge.

Formación

• Graduates in Computer Science specializing in software development and cybersecurity.
• Training/interest in flight software development using C or C++.
• Knowledge of real-time operating systems and embedded software development.
• Familiarity with European Space Agency standards is a plus.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

As part of our team, you will participate in the design and implementation of software validation facilities, provide technical support for software implementation, and assist in the selection of appropriate microprocessor tools and platforms.

The position requires managing or contributing to a variety of tasks across multiple disciplines, including embedded flight hardware/software, simulation environments, algorithms, and telemetry systems.

The duties to be performed include the following:

• Defining and analyzing requirements and interfaces. Designing architectures and developing SW.
• Performing unit and integration tests.
• Verification and validation processes, as well as creating detailed technical documentation.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

For this position, we are looking for graduates in Computer Science or a related field specializing in software development and cybersecurity with training and interest in mastering the programming languages commonly used in flight software development, such as C or C++, as well as knowledge of real-time operating systems and embedded software development.

We will also value knowledge in:

• Software engineering based on European Space Agency standards.
• Modeling, software, and tools based on SVF models/components. Space systems. Space-grade processors and buses. Temporal and spatial partitioning.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and their application in the space domain.
