United Nations in Valencia, Spain is seeking an Information Systems Officer (P-3) to oversee projects from feasibility studies through design and implementation of moderately complex systems. The role reports to the Senior Information Systems Officer and is based in Valencia.

The incumbent develops detailed system specifications, writes user documentation, and provides expert guidance to users to translate requirements into new applications, addressing system integration concerns.

Descripción del empleo

Information Systems Officer at UN. Grade: P-3. Location: València, Spain. Application deadline: 30 September 2026. Under the direct supervision of a Senior Information Systems Officer and overall guidance of the Chief, ESS, the Information Systems Officer may be responsible for the following duties:

• Manages projects involving feasibility studies, systems analysis, design, development and implementation of new, moderately complex systems, and/or, participates as a member of a development team with responsibility for major components of the more complex systems.
• Develops detailed system and other functional specifications and user documentation for major systems.
• Provides specialized advice to users, analyzing users’ requirements and translating these into new applications; determines application systems integration and linkage issues.
