Job summary

Group IPS in Madrid is seeking a Project Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to drive industrial projects on site and progress toward a Project Manager role. You will coordinate activities across feasibility, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.

Based in Madrid, you’ll work closely with clients, engineering teams, contractors and suppliers to meet scope, budget, schedule and quality. Regular site presence with national/international travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in industrial projects, with site execution or coordination.
• Experience coordinating contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Understanding of project planning, cost control, and commissioning.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities across feasibility, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and project close-out.
• Plan and monitor scope, costs, schedules, documentation and progress reporting.
• Support project definition including plant layouts and procurement strategies.
• Coordinate engineering activities across process, utilities and civil works.
• Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with quality, safety and schedule requirements.
• Plan and coordinate commissioning and start‑up with vendors and client teams.
• Support ramp‑up and handover to operations.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and stakeholders.
