Job summary

South is seeking a creative Video Editor to transform raw footage into compelling social media and YouTube content for a U.S.-based legal client. You will edit short-form clips with captions, music, and on-screen text, while ensuring brand consistency and accuracy.

The role requires strong pacing, narrative sense for social media, and the ability to manage multiple projects, delivering high-quality videos on schedule. Familiarity with AI-assisted editing is a plus.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating short-form social media video editing (Reels, TikTok, Shorts).
• Strong understanding of pacing, hooks, and storytelling for social media.
• Solid audio cleanup and basic color correction abilities.
• Comfort using AI editing tools for captions, transcription, and rough cuts.
• Strong English comprehension.

Responsibilities

• Edit Instagram Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts with captions, music, and on-screen text.
• Create strong opening hooks and maintain tight pacing across videos.
• Format videos for each platform (aspect ratio, length, safe zones).
• Edit longer YouTube videos and webinars; repurpose into short clips.
• Create simple motion graphics, lower thirds, branded intros/outros.
• Follow brand guidelines and ensure edits faithfully reflect attorneys' statements.
