Elsevier is seeking a Contract Manager, Sales based in Madrid to support contracting for enterprise customers and LATAM. You will draft, review and negotiate sales contracts, amendments and renewals in line with templates, policies and approvals.

In this role you will collaborate with Sales, Legal, Account Support and Finance to enable compliant commercial outcomes and a strong customer experience. The position is based in our Madrid office and requires attention to detail, practical risk

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent with 3–5 years of Contract Management, commercial contracting or legal operations experience.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; Fluency in Portuguese is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to review agreements against templates, policies and fallback positions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for Sales and stakeholders.
• Experience with contract lifecycle management tools such as Conga, Luminance or similar platforms is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Reviewing, drafting and negotiating sales contracts and related documents, including order forms, amendments, renewals and customer terms.
• Supporting Legal and Sales by identifying non-standard terms, missing protections and approvals.
• Applying sound judgment to routine and moderately complex contracting issues and proposing practical ways forward.
• Managing contract matters proactively from intake through execution, including tracking status and next steps.
• Collaborating with Sales, Legal, Finance and other internal SMEs to finalize contract requirements.
• Communicating clearly with internal and external stakeholders and providing concise, actionable advice.
• Preparing clean contract documents reflecting agreed services and terms.
• Using contract management systems and approved AI tools to enhance efficiency and drafting quality.
• Identifying recurring issues and opportunities to improve templates and standardization.
