Job summary

British International Schools XXI seeks an experienced educator to join our team in Madrid. The role focuses on lesson planning, materials preparation, and collaboration with the Psychology Department to support students with academic or behavioral needs.

The candidate will maintain accurate records, deliver timely assessments, and participate in parent meetings and school activities while upholding ISP safeguarding and inclusion principles.

Qualifications

• Field/Specialization: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or related fields.
• Master’s Degree: Preferred
• Proficiency in digital tools
• Intermediate-level Microsoft Office skills
• English Level: Advanced (must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing)
• Work Experience: Required Minimum 2 years in education

Responsibilities

• Plan lessons in advance and send plans via email to the Head of Level and Academic Coordinator.
• Prepare and organize the necessary materials for classes.
• Fulfill the objectives outlined in the general plans distributed at the beginning of the year.
• Maintain the grade book up to date.
• Enter grades at the end of each evaluation period and semester, on or before deadlines.
• Design and prepare monthly assessments for each topic.
• Grade all assigned work.
• Collaborate with the Psychology Department to support students with academic or behavioral issues.
• Work with the Academic Coordinator and psychologist to support students with special needs, including gifted learners.
• Attend meetings with teachers, academic coordinators, and assistant principals.
