Job summary

Amaris Consulting is seeking a Junior QA Automation Engineer to join an international team in Valencia. You will develop and execute automated tests, maintain scripts, and report defects, contributing to continuous quality improvements within a dynamic CI/CD environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in Software Quality Assurance, Software Engineering, or similar.
• 2–3 years of professional test automation experience.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript, Python, or Java.
• Experience with test automation tools (Tosca, Cypress, Ranorex, or similar).
• Proficiency in API testing tools (REST Assured, Postman, JMeter, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, GitLab).
• Knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools (JIRA, XRAY).
• ISTQB Test Automation Engineer (CT-TAE) certification is a plus.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and mobile testing frameworks.
• B2 level English proficiency.
• Availability for 2/3 days/week on-site presence in Valencia.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated test scripts using CI/CD systems.
• Maintain and adapt test scripts for new or changing requirements.
• Create bug reports and verify fixes after failures.
• Monitor test automation coverage and highlight automated vs manual features.
• Suggest and implement framework improvements.
• Write, design, and execute automated tests to maximize coverage of critical system features.
• Create test execution plans and prioritize test scenarios.
• Document automated processes, plans, and test cases.
• Set up continuous integration and perform exploratory testing when needed.
