Real-Time Innovations is seeking a Senior Performance Engineer to drive performance characterization and optimization of Connext software. You will model performance, characterize workloads, and analyze network performance to optimize system throughput and latency.

You will design and execute performance tests, maintain benchmarking initiatives, and collaborate with development teams to embed performance considerations throughout the software lifecycle.

Formación

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, HPC, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in performance modeling, testing, analysis, and optimization for critical software systems.
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., gprof) and frameworks (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, Java, or similar.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated performance testing and benchmarking.
• Familiarity with automated performance monitoring, alerting, and regression detection tools.
• Strong data analysis skills to identify trends and optimization opportunities.
• Familiarity with eBPF in performance monitoring and optimization.

Responsabilidades

• Design and execute performance testing and regression detection strategies and active benchmarking initiatives to identify bottlenecks.
• Conduct performance modeling and simulations to predict software behavior under varying workloads.
• Perform workload and network characterization to analyze usage patterns and system trends.
• Develop shared tools and infrastructure for performance measurement, analysis, and reporting.
• Collaborate with development teams to embed performance considerations into the software lifecycle.
• Publish performance test results with clear insights and visualizations.
