GETEC is seeking a seasoned HSE leader to drive occupational health, safety, and environmental programs across construction, maintenance, and operations. You will ensure regulatory compliance, coordinate ISO audits, and advance ESG initiatives while promoting a strong safety culture across the organization.

The role requires collaboration with Engineering, Construction, and O&M teams and a proven track record in decarbonization and sustainability projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Environmental, Energy or similar) or related discipline.
• Certified Occupational Health & Safety Specialist (PRL) preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Experience with ISO management systems, audits, and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with ESG frameworks and sustainability reporting.

Responsabilités

• Lead internalization and development of HSE activities across the organization.
• Ensure compliance with HSEQQ, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Manage contractor and supplier safety performance, audits, and improvements.
• Conduct incident investigations and root-cause analyses; implement corrective actions.
• Promote a strong safety culture through training and engagement programs.
• Coordinate ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 audits and reporting.
• Oversee environmental permits, waste management, and licenses.
• Develop ESG strategies and decarbonization measures aligned with business goals.
• Define and report ESG and HSEQQ KPIs to management and stakeholders.
• Support ESG assessments, audits, certifications, and reporting.
• Perform site inspections and environmental audits across sites.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, and O&M to raise standards.

YOUR FUTURE TASK

• Leading the internalization and continuous development of occupational health and safety activities across the organization.
• Ensuring compliance with HSEQQ, environmental, and regulatory requirements throughout construction, maintenance, and operational activities.
• Managing contractor and supplier safety performance, including audits, assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conducting incident investigations, root cause analyses, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Promoting a strong safety culture through training, awareness campaigns, and engagement programs for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinating and supporting ISO management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 audits.
• Overseeing environmental compliance, permits, licenses, and waste management processes.
• Developing and implementing ESG strategies, sustainability initiatives, and decarbonization measures aligned with business objectives.
• Defining, monitoring, and reporting ESG and HSEQQ KPIs to management and key stakeholders.
• Supporting ESG assessments, audits, certifications, and reporting requirements.
• Performing site inspections, safety reviews, and environmental audits across construction and operational assets.
• Collaborating closely with Engineering, Construction, and O&M teams to continuously improve quality, safety, and sustainability standards.

YOU AS A PERSON AND WHAT YOU BRING

• Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Environmental, Energy or similar), Environmental Sciences, Occupational Safety, or a related discipline.
• Certified Occupational Health & Safety Specialist (PRL), ideally with all three specializations and additional postgraduate qualifications.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSEQQ leadership roles within construction, energy, industrial, or infrastructure environments.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, environmental compliance, and contractor management.
• Experience with ISO management systems, audits, and continuous improvement programs.
• Familiarity with ESG frameworks, sustainability reporting, and decarbonization initiatives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE, CAE, or ESG reporting tools.
• Knowledge of electrical infrastructure, photovoltaic installations, energy efficiency projects, or gas-related systems is considered an advantage.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Structured, hands-on, and proactive approach with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability.
• Professional English and Spanish language skills.
