Placements24 is seeking a vigilant HSE Advisor to ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance for field operations in South Africa. You will lead risk assessments, develop site HSE plans, and promote a positive safety culture across operations.

The role requires 3–5 years in HSE, a relevant degree, ISO 45001 knowledge, and a willingness to travel to sites. You will conduct inspections, investigations, and training to protect personnel and the environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in Oil & Gas or industrial sector.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations in South Africa and ISO 45001.

• Conduct site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and non-compliance.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.

About the Role

Our client, a significant operator within the Oil & Gas industry , is seeking a vigilant HSE Advisor to ensure the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance for their field operations near Queenstown, Eastern Cape . This role is vital in promoting a robust safety culture, conducting risk assessments, and implementing effective HSE management systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of HSE regulations within the energy sector and have a proven track record of promoting safe working practices. Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of HSE legislation and best practices in South Africa.
• Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and hazard identification.
• Experience in incident investigation and reporting.
• Strong understanding of safety management systems (e.g., ISO 45001).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to operational sites.
• First Aid and Fire Fighting certifications are advantageous.
