METT Barcelona, a luxury 5-star hotel, seeks an HR Trainee to support daily HR operations and processes. You will gain hands-on experience across recruitment, onboarding, employee administration, and engagement within a premium hospitality setting.

You will work closely with the HR team, learn real HR procedures, and contribute to a positive employee experience. English and Spanish fluency is required, with a proactive, confidential approach.

Formación

• Education: pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Psychology, Labour Relations, or related field.
• Skills: strong organizational and communication abilities, proactive, detail-oriented, discreet with data.
• Languages: fluent in English and Spanish.

Responsabilidades

• Supporting recruitment and selection: job postings, candidate screening, interviews and follow-ups.
• Assisting onboarding and offboarding and preparing required documents.
• Maintaining and updating employee records and HR systems.
• Assisting with employee administration, contracts and HR documentation.
• Supporting attendance, schedules and holiday management.
• Assisting payroll preparation and monthly HR processes.
• Organizing training, inductions and employee activities.

Your mission:

As an HR Trainee, your mission will be to support the Human Resources department in the daily management of our employees and HR processes. You will gain hands‑on experience across different areas of HR, from recruitment and onboarding to employee administration and engagement.

Your tasks will include:

• Supporting the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews and follow‑ups.
• Assisting with onboarding and offboarding processes and preparing the required documentation.
• Supporting the maintenance and updating of employee records and HR systems.
• Assisting with employee administration, contracts, certificates and other HR documentation.
• Supporting attendance, working schedules and holiday management.
• Assisting the HR team with payroll preparation and monthly HR processes.
• Supporting the organization of training, inductions and employee activities.
• Helping with internal HR communications and employee engagement initiatives.
• Providing support to employees and managers with day‑to‑day HR queries.
• Assisting with ad‑hoc HR projects and initiatives.

What we're looking for:

• Education: Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Psychology, Labour Relations, or a related field.
• Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Proactive attitude and ability to manage multiple tasks. Discretion and confidentiality when handling employee information.
• Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish
• Other: Passion for people and hospitality, teamwork, willingness to learn, and a positive attitude. Previous HR or hospitality experience is a plus but not mandatory.
