Job summary

Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS) is seeking a Human Resources Officer specialized in Payroll and Personnel Administration to provide high-quality HR support across departments in Barcelona. The role reports to the Labour Relations Coordinator and supports researchers and staff through their employment lifecycle.

The position offers a full-time contract (35h/week) with a competitive salary, private health insurance, relocation assistance, and a strong training plan.

Qualifications

• Ideally 3 years of experience in an HR Department or Labour Agency, handling payroll and HR queries
• Solid knowledge of payroll processes and HR administrative cycles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and ERP systems; ability to manage high-volume payroll processes

Responsibilities

• Full HR management of scientific departments under the guidance of the HR Senior Officer
• Payroll coordination and updates for assigned departments
• End of relation/offboarding processes
• Act as HR contact person for researchers and managers
• General support to HR & Labour Relations Coordinator
• Management of Flexible compensation scheme and perks
• HR data management and reporting support
• Ensure alignment with labor regulations and institutional policies
