Job summary

Minor Hotels Europe & Americas seeks a Development & Feasibility Analyst, North America to support underwriting, market analysis and strategic evaluation of hotel developments across the United States and Canada. You will prepare market research, financial projections and memos for internal decision-making and partners.

Ideal candidates have strong analytical skills, experience in hospitality finance and proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint.

Qualifications

Advanced Excel and financial modeling for hotel feasibility.
Experience preparing underwriting analyses and market research in hospitality.

Responsibilities

Prepare feasibility assessments, underwriting analyses and financial projections for new hotel opportunities, including developments, conversions, rebrandings and management contract opportunities.
Conduct market research on hotel supply and demand, market performance, competitive positioning, pipeline, demand generators, seasonality and local market trends.
Identify, benchmark and analyze relevant current and aspirational competitive sets to support brand positioning and commercial recommendations.
Develop operating assumptions for occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, rooms revenue, other operating revenues, departmental costs, undistributed expenses and hotel profitability.
Review owner-provided business plans and supporting materials, assessing the reasonableness of key commercial, operational and financial assumptions.
Prepare clear presentations, investment memos and supporting materials for internal committees, senior management, hotel owners and potential partners.
Support the Development Team with brand positioning, commercial proposals, opportunity screening and project-related analyses.
Coordinate inputs from Revenue Management, Operations, Finance, Brands, Legal and other internal stakeholders as required.
Maintain organized project files, financial models, market intelligence, comparable data and development pipeline information.
