Seneca Nation Health System is seeking a detail-oriented Clerk to support daily PRC department operations. You will verify eligibility, process claims, and maintain records while communicating with patients and providers in a respectful, trauma-informed manner.

The role emphasizes accurate filing, mail handling, and collaboration within SNHS to ensure smooth payment processes and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years’ experience in office setting preferred.
• Experience in a large hospital, academic medical center, outpatient health care setting, or IHS/tribal health preferred.

Responsabilités

• Verifies eligibility for PRC payment with referrals, ER status, and patient info on claims.
• Validates patient bills with insurance and eligibility for payment.
• Processes claim status information (date paid, amount, check info).
• Researches patient bills and reports findings to PRC Manager.
• Processes and files department mail and records denial letters.
• Handles incoming calls and email correspondence from patients and providers.
• Maintains fiscal year records and filing systems.
• Voids purchase orders with PRC Manager approval.
• Promotes SNHS mission and collaborates with team using trauma-informed principles.
• Completes mandatory trainings, meetings, and in-services.
• Follows all SNHS policies and procedures.
