Job summary

DFDS Spain is seeking a Health, Safety & Security Manager to lead the HSS agenda across Spain and Morocco, spanning ports, warehouses and offices. You will align with the DPA and Global HSS team to translate strategies into practical actions, improving regulatory compliance and operational excellence across shore and ship operations.

You will report to the Operations Director and collaborate with local leadership to champion a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

Minimum 3-5 years of documented experience within Health, Safety & Security roles.
Strong knowledge of Spanish occupational health and safety legislation.
Experience conducting risk assessments and hazard identification methodologies.
Experience with audits, compliance management and incident investigations.
Understanding of stakeholder management in complex operational environments.

Responsibilities

Lead the Health, Safety & Security strategy across Spain and Morocco across multiple locations (ports, warehouses and offices).
Promote a strong safety-first culture and advise local management on HSS matters.
Conduct risk assessments and maintain a risk register; ensure regulatory compliance.
Deliver HSS training programmes and awareness campaigns.
Manage incidents, observations and related documentation within safety management systems.
Collaborate with Marine Standards, DPA and external partners to align ship and shore safety standards.
