Job summary

Mars Veterinary Health Europe is seeking a Health & Safety, Risk & Security Advisor to lead the rollout of health, safety, fire, risk and security standards across Spain and Portugal. You will partner with clinic teams to implement safe systems of work and perform proactive audits and incident investigations.

The role requires fluency in Spanish and English, multi-site experience, and a pragmatic, cross-cultural approach across Europe. Madrid-based, hybrid working arrangement offered within MVHE.

Qualifications

• Proven multi-site safety experience in veterinary/healthcare or similar settings.
• Formal health and safety credential (NEBOSH/IOSH) or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of occupational, fire safety regulations and pragmatic compliance.
• Excellent interpersonal, coaching and stakeholder-management skills across cultures.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is required; other European languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead rollout of health, safety, fire, risk and security standards across Spain and Portugal.
• Partner with clinic teams to conduct risk assessments and embed safe systems of work.
• Conduct proactive H&S audits, site visits and gap closure; drive improvements.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; drive continuous safety improvements regionally.
• Develop and deliver core H&S training; collaborate with European HSRS peers.
