A leading technology firm in Vilafranca del Penedès is seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee and enhance its technological infrastructure. The successful candidate will manage daily IT operations, implement cybersecurity measures, and lead innovative projects, including AI development. Strong knowledge of Windows environments and Microsoft 365 is essential. English is required for the curriculum.

Overview

Head of the IT Department/Responsable IT. We are looking for an experienced and proactive IT Manager to oversee and optimize the technological infrastructure of our organization. The ideal candidate will manage daily IT operations, support system implementations, strengthen cybersecurity, and promote continuous improvement of our processes to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology solutions across the company.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and provide support for desktop computers, laptops, and servers running Windows (Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016 or later).
  • Possess basic Linux support knowledge and assist with related tasks when necessary.
  • Administer and oversee Microsoft 365/Office 365: user management, permissions, license assignments, mail flow, and security settings.
  • Perform and monitor basic operations in SQL Server, including backups, security roles, and script execution.
  • Provide general IT support to the team both onsite and remotely resolving issues related to applications, printers, VPNs, and other hardware/software problems.
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes: creating user accounts, setting up email, and handling device delivery/collection.
  • Ensure backups are scheduled, verified (using Acronis or similar), and effective for disaster recovery purposes.
  • Coordinate and implement basic cybersecurity practices: managing updates, deploying antivirus solutions (e.g. Sophos Endpoint Protection), enabling 2FA, and applying security patches.
  • Conduct regular assessments of all company processes, mapping workflows, and offering strategic and practical recommendations to optimize operations and improve efficiency.
  • Facilitate regular interdepartmental meetings to identify IT and system improvement opportunities that enhance overall company workflow.
  • Stay proactively informed about the latest technological advancements and industry trends, evaluating their potential application to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Lead the integration of AI development as a key strategic initiative, promoting innovative projects that boost operational efficiency and strengthen the company\'s relevance in the sector.
