SIX/BME, a European exchange group, seeks a Head Controlling Exchanges to partner with the Head of Exchanges and senior leadership, driving financial transparency across Switzerland and Spain.

You will lead closing, forecasting, budgeting, and mid-term planning; prepare cockpit analyses; and translate data into actionable insights to steer performance.

Formación

• Bachelor or Master in business administration, finance, accounting, controlling or a comparable qualification
• At least 4–6 years of experience in financial management or controlling in an international context
• Strong planning, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis and financial commentary skills
• Excellent business partnering skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Knowledge of exchange business models or market infrastructure is advantageous
• Fluency in English; German and Spanish are a plus

Head Controlling Exchanges (80-100%)

Do you want to help shape the financial steering of one of Europe’s leading exchange businesses? As Head Controlling Exchanges at SIX/BME, you will be a trusted finance partner to the Head and Management Team of Business Unit Exchanges. You act as business partner and create transparency on financial performance, translate complex data into actionable insights and support sound decision-making across our exchanges in Switzerland and Spain. By combining analytical and financial skills with curiosity and ownership with impact, you will contribute to the continued transformation of financial markets.

What You Will Do

• Act as trusted finance business and sparring partner to the Head of Exchanges and his leadership team, supporting and challenging strategic and operational decisions
• Lead key controlling processes, including closing, forecasting, budgeting and mid-term planning, ensuring high-quality insights, transparency and timely delivery
• Prepare, comment and present monthly financial cockpits, variance analyses and ad-hoc deep dives for senior and executive management
• Drive performance steering by identifying risks and opportunities, challenging assumptions and translating financial transparency into actionable insights and clear recommendations
• Continuously improve controlling processes, reporting tools and data foundations, contributing to the continuing success of the Exchanges business

What You Bring

• Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, controlling or a comparable qualification
• At least 4–6 years of experience in financial management or controlling, ideally gained in an international company or through international exposure
• Solid expertise in planning, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis and financial commentary, with a strong ability to turn figures into business-relevant insights
• Strong business partnering skills, with the ability to build trust, challenge constructively and influence senior stakeholders in a dynamic environment
• Good understanding of the financial industry; knowledge of exchange business models or market infrastructure is a strong advantage
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, with the ability to engage effectively with top and executive management; German and Spanish are a plus
• Experience with SAP BI reporting tools such as Analysis for Office and SAP Analytics Cloud is an advantage
