Six, a leading European exchange group, is seeking an experienced Testing Lead to drive testing strategy in our Clearing IT team in Madrid. You will define, implement, and lead testing standards for projects and change requests to deliver high-quality, compliant software in a collaborative international setting.

• 5+ years of hands-on test management in medium to large projects.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Testing Lead in Madrid to join our Clearing IT team. This is an exciting opportunity for a QA professional who thrives in complex environments and wants to play a key role in shaping quality across business‑critical initiatives. In this role, you will define, implement, and lead testing strategies and quality standards for projects and change requests, helping to deliver high‑quality, compliant software in a collaborative and international setting. Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred.

What You Will Do

• Define and drive a comprehensive test strategy covering functional, non-functional, and regression testing to support successful project delivery and high-quality outcomes.
• Lead QA activities for change requests related to continuous enhancements and maintenance within Clearing applications, ensuring quality standards are met and releases are delivered with confidence throughout the year.
• Establish and oversee an effective defect management process in JIRA, working closely with development and business teams to ensure timely resolution and continuous quality improvement.
• Facilitate regular test management meetings to review progress, resolve concerns, and keep stakeholders aligned on delivery goals and change priorities.
• Identify risks early and proactively escalated critical issues to project management to support informed decisions and timely resolution.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across multiple locations, fostering seamless teamwork and aligning testing activities with project milestones and release plans.

What You Bring

• A minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in test management, including responsibility for medium to large or complex projects, with end-to-end ownership of test strategy, execution oversight, defect management, and quality assurance governance.
• A proven track record of successfully leading test management activities across multiple releases or projects and delivering strong quality outcomes in complex environments.
• Solid understanding of Waterfall, Agile, and SAFe methodologies, with the flexibility to adapt testing approaches to different delivery models.
• Experience in coordinating and leading a team of more than six testers, providing guidance, structure, and support to achieve shared quality goals.
• Strong proficiency in JIRA for test management, change request tracking, and transparent documentation of defects, resolutions, and project progress.
• Fluency in both verbal and written English.
