Job summary

Exide Technologies in Spain is seeking a Process Engineer for its Automotive division at the Azuqueca de Henares plant. You will develop and optimize manufacturing processes, design and install new production equipment, and support the introduction of new products.

Strong Lean/Six Sigma experience and English fluency are essential. The role is hands-on on the shop floor, requiring collaboration across R&D, production, quality, and other teams to ensure process excellence and compliance with EH&S

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering or equivalent with 3+ years in process/plant engineering.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment and plant environment.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and applying Lean/Six Sigma.
• Business fluent English required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve manufacturing processes across the plant.
• Design, install, and commission new production equipment and methods.
• Monitor modifications and upgrades; troubleshoot processes.
• Define work instructions, specs, parameters and checkpoints to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure equipment and materials meet specifications and capacity.
• Develop prototypes and processes for new serial production.
• Support introduction of new products and raw materials.
• Document and share process information; analyze and review data.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, quality and other teams.
• FMECA development and updates; ensure EH&S compliance.
