El Pollo Loco is hiring a Grill Master (Cook) to prepare and grill the brand's signature pollo, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. The role offers both full-time and part-time schedules, with duties that include cooking, packing, and assisting in training new cooks.

Responsibilities emphasize following health department guidelines, proper product rotation, and maintaining a clean workspace while delivering great guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Food handler certificate is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• No experience is required, but restaurant cooking experience is preferred.
• No education is required, high school diploma and equivalent is preferred.
• Kitchen, time-management, and customer service skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow company and local health department food handling procedures.
• Inspect chicken quality through the entire preparation and cook process.
• Receives chicken orders, cooks and packages chicken that meets quality standards.
• Cleans and sanitizes the entire workstation including equipment, storage area.
• Assists in training new cooks.
• Regularly assists peers including hot prep, expediter and burrito assembly.
