Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks experienced systems engineers to lead operations for the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) in the EU region. You will work within the AWS Managed Operations team to build, operate and scale services such as EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock for European customers, ensuring high availability and performance.

You will collaborate with global teams, drive improvements to day-to-day operations, and participate in on-call rotations to handle incidents outside normal

Qualifications

Experience in Linux OS and network troubleshooting.
Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Management, Information Systems, or related discipline.
EU nationality and resident in the EU.

Responsibilities

Oversee ongoing operations and expansion of the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC).
Collaborate with global AWS teams to improve availability, reliability, latency and efficiency of ESC.
Participate in on-call rotations and implement changes using approved change management processes.
Contribute to building, operating and evolving a scalable development engineering and operations team for EU customers.
