Job summary

Amazon Spain Services, S.L.U. is seeking experienced systems engineers to lead operations for the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC).

The role sits within the AWS Managed Operations team and focuses on delivering high-availability AWS services (EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, Bedrock) for EU customers. You will help build and guide operations and development teams, driving improvements in availability, latency, performance, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent IT experience required.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) required.
• Experience operating 24x7 high-availability cloud services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the launch and ongoing operations of the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC).
• Collaborate with global AWS teams to improve availability, latency and efficiency.
• Review operational health and implement change management for production systems.
• Contribute to building a best-in-class development and operations team for EU customers.
