Amentum seeks a Material Management Specialist to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will oversee procurement, inventory, distribution, and tracking of materials to meet operational needs efficiently.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with safety and contractual requirements. A background in supply chain and ERP systems is preferred; passport-ready travel is required.

Formación

• Three years of experience in material management, handling, procurement, inventory control, or related roles.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems or ERP software.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain, warehousing, and inventory control.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; detail-oriented.
• Passport valid for international travel and ability to obtain visas.

Responsabilidades

• Manage material inventory, ensure adequate stock levels, and track usage and restocking schedules.
• Oversee procurement: ordering, receiving, and issuing materials and supplies.
• Monitor storage facilities for safe handling and compliance with guidelines.
• Verify materials meet specifications; address shortages or damaged goods.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of inventory, transactions, and audits.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and resolve delays.
• Support development and implementation of material management procedures to reduce waste.
• Collaborate with departments to forecast needs and prioritize deliveries.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance for hazardous materials.
• Prepare inventory and usage reports for management review.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
