Amentum is seeking a Freight Traffic Specialist to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves coordinating inbound/outbound cargo, maintaining shipping docs, and ensuring secure, timely movement in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Requirements include 1–3 years in freight/logistics, a high school diploma, and the ability to obtain visas and pass medical and credentialing prerequisites for deployment.

Formación

• 1–3 years of freight coordination, traffic management or logistics support experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of freight documentation, cargo tracking and transportation processes.
• Proficiency with computer-based tracking systems and data entry.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
• Passport valid for at least one year beyond hire date.
• Ability to obtain country-specific visas per DoS guidance.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain deployment readiness.
• Must obtain and maintain facility credentials.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate inbound and outbound cargo movements and track shipments.
• Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documents, manifests, and tracking records.
• Coordinate with freight terminals, air and surface transport teams, and logistics staff.
• Monitor shipment status and resolve documentation or routing discrepancies.
• Update cargo tracking systems and support inventory accountability.
• Contribute to smooth logistics operations and mission readiness in a remote environment.
