Allianz Technology is seeking a Global Head of Data Foundations to lead the data management strategy, governing target architecture and global tooling for a robust data governance framework. You will drive governance standards, define the global data architecture, and deliver strategic roadmaps with stakeholders at the c-level across a global organization.

About The Job

The Global Head of Data Foundations at Allianz Technology leads execution of the global Data Management Strategy within the Chief Data Office. This role defines and validates the target data architecture and global tooling environment, delivers measurable improvements in Data and Architecture Maturity, and promotes critical awareness of Data Management best practices to support a robust global data governance framework.

What You Do

• Own and lead the delivery of data foundations and management assets for Allianz Technology’s global Data Strategy, ensuring alignment with Executive Management, business leaders, and process/product owners.
• Drive Data Governance and Management standards and best practices within the Global COO Function, in line with Allianz Technology’s Data Governance framework and the Chief Data Office community of Allianz Group.
• Define the Global Target Data Architecture, ensuring alignment between the Data Strategy and Business Strategy.
• Own and lead delivery of global strategic programs, including self-service analytics across Allianz Technology and enterprise data models; develop scalable data solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders, such as IFIS and CFO, etc.
• Define and deliver strategic roadmaps for data products to facilitate data exchange within Allianz Technology, addressing common challenges.
• Implement strategic monitoring and executive reporting, including definition and implementation of KPIs to measure effectiveness of the global data foundations landscape, with a focus on standardization, automation, operational efficiency, speed of delivery, and overall data quality.
• Lead and develop a team, fostering a high-performance culture aligned to Allianz Technology’s strategic priorities.

What You Bring

• Extensive experience in data management, data architecture, or data governance in a complex, global enterprise environment.
• Proven ability to define and execute data strategy and architecture at scale, with strong stakeholder engagement at c- level.
• Deep expertise in data governance frameworks, master data management, and enterprise data platforms.
• Familiarity with AI and data technology trends and their practical application in enterprise environments.
• Significant leadership experience managing cross-functional, international teams.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Familiarity with Data Analysis is a strong advantage.
