Allianz Technology seeks a Software Engineer to design, build, test, and maintain software solutions. You will handle technical design, development, and testing, with support and consultation in early concept phases.

The role emphasizes agile team collaboration, non-functional requirements, and maintainability across environments. Hybrid work and international exposure are part of the offering.

Formación

• Proficiency in front-end technologies and back-end design for software solutions.
• Experience with cloud and DevOps practices across platforms and CI pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of API design (SOAP/REST) and data formats (XML/JSON).
• Experience with databases, messaging (Kafka) and state management (Redux).

Responsabilidades

• Translate requirements into technical software designs and implement components.
• Develop, test, debug and document software in agile teams.
• Address non-functional requirements like performance and security.

About the Job

The Software Engineer plans, develops, tests and maintains software solutions. You will manage the technical design and the application development, including testing the developed software.

This also includes support and consultation activities in the concept phase of the planned application.

What you do

• Check functional and technical requirements regarding technical implementation and feasibility and translate them into the technical software design.
• Design, test, debug, document and implement software or application components of third-party software and of operating system-related software.
• Fulfill non-functional requirements of the solution, such as performance, data protection, IT security and ergonomics/usability.
• Ensure the future maintainability of the systems and consideration of the technical and functional environment in the context of the development of software.
• Develop software in agile teams and implement software engineering techniques and methods.

What you bring

• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, Typescript, and frameworks like Angular. Proficiency with back-end development using Java, Spring Boot, or similar technologies
• Cloud technologies/DevOps: AWS, Kubernetes, Helm. Jenkins.
• Version control via Git. XML, JSON. SOAP, REST. SQL, databases (PostgreSQL).
• Kafka/EBS. Redux experience.
• Other tools: IntelliJ, DBVisualizer, ReadyAPI.
• Nice to have: Insurance knowledge (lines, contracts). BiPRO. Willingness to engage with technical topics/to familiarize yourself with the technical aspects. Jira, Confluence etc.
• English fluency both written and spoken, with German language being a plus.
• Machine learning knowledge is a strong advantage.
